Hostel & Mess Management Committee
The Hostel & Mess Committee at Misra Nursing Institute of Asansol (MNIA) functions as a collaborative administrative and student-participatory council dedicated to ensuring safe, comfortable, and hygienic residential living conditions. Comprising faculty leadership, full-time resident wardens, and elected student representatives from GNM and B.Sc Nursing batches, the committee actively oversees meal planning, kitchen hygiene, water sanitation, security measures, and peer resident welfare.

Core Objectives & Operational Responsibilities
- Dietary Planning & Quality Control: Formulating balanced, nutritious, and seasonal weekly meal rosters in consultation with resident student representatives.
- Hygiene & Kitchen Sanitation Audits: Conducting regular inspections of raw ingredient procurement, food storage, cookware sterilization, and drinking water purification systems.
- Hostel Facility Maintenance: Monitoring daily housekeeping, electrical and plumbing infrastructure, solar water heating systems, and common recreation areas.
- Safety, Curfew & Discipline: Enforcing evening entry curfews, visitor protocols, night roll-calls, and round-the-clock female security vigilance.
Mess Coordination & Resident Feedback Mechanism
To maintain continuous satisfaction and high residential standards:
- The committee holds monthly review meetings with student representatives to address suggestions regarding dining menu updates and room amenities.
- Boarders can register maintenance issues directly into the Hostel Log Register for prompt resolution by the facility management team.
- Strict adherence to meal timings and cleanliness norms in the dining hall is maintained to promote a healthy and disciplined residential environment.
